Fan Spotlight : Nicholas Wilke

Good morning, everyone!

Modesty here, with the next feature in our Fan Spotlight series! I'm enjoying learning a little bit more about a few of our readers and fellow-SG Fans, aren't you? Today we will be featuring...

Nicholas Wilke!

Tell Us a Little About Yourself :
"My name is Nicholas Wilke. I am 15 years old and I'm in 9th grade. I was born in Greenville, SC. I LOVE Southern Gospel Music, target shooting and collecting knives."

How Did You Get Started Listening to SG? What is the First Group You Remember Seeing? :
"In December 2012, I went to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN for the first time and I saw the Kingdom Heirs Quartet. When they came out and started singing, I immediately fell in love with it and I've loved Southern Gospel Music ever since!! I believe the first Southern Gospel group I ever saw was the Dove Brothers (Jerry Martin, McCray Dove, Eric Dove and David Hester). One of the things I love most about quartets is bass singers! My favorite bass singer of all time is Tim Riley"

What is One of Your Favorite Group/s? :
"My favorite group of all time is 1990's Gold City (Jay Parrack Jonathan Wilburn, Mark Trammell and Tim Riley). My favorite current group as far as the lineup goes is the Kingdom Heirs."

What is One of Your Current Favorite Songs? :
"My favorite song right now is He Didn't Throw The Clay Away. I love that song so much because, when we as humans mess up and fail and are just broken, God just picks up those pieces and cleans us up and I'm so thankful for that!! He doesn't throw those pieces away! What a song!"

Have you Previously Attended NQC? :
"I have been to NQC 2 years in a row. I went in 2014 and again in 2015. My favorite part of NQC is just hanging out with the artists and that's what I look forward to most every year!"

Nicholas, thank you so much for participating in our Fan Spotlight! Again, keep an eye out as we have several others lined up that will be posted over the next few weeks. If you're interested in being featured in our Fan Spotlight, send us an email (southerngospelgazette(at) or message us on FB.
