Dollywood's Harvest Festival (NQC2018)

Hey, y'all!

We are getting so excited for NQC and have now typed up our schedule.  Tell me we're not the only ones?  Typing/printing a schedule definitely helps keep everyone on track and makes sure we know where we need to be at what time.  With this being the only time we're in the Smoky Mountains it quickly becomes a busy week, and we have to pick and choose what we're most worried about doing while in the area.  There are so many restaurants to try, attractions to visit, and that's not even including all of the NQC concerts/chapels/showcases and more that we'll have at the LeConte Center!

For those in the Pigeon Forge area for the National Quartet Convention, make sure you schedule in a day or so at Dollywood for their Harvest Festival September 28th-November 3rd!  The Harvest Festival includes Pumpkin LumiNights (thousands of illuminated jack-o-lanterns and displays, face painting, character meet + greet, pumpkin-themed food!), Harvest Festival Crafters (artists of all sorts will have booths exhibiting their talented craftsmanship), and for all the SG fans- the Southern Gospel Jubilee!  These concerts are all free with your Dollywood Admission ticket, and will be featuring your favorite Southern Gospel artists and groups!  Some performing throughout the Festival are the Nelons, Jeff + Sheri Easter, Tribute Quartet, Gold City, The Inspirations, Mark Lowry, The Isaacs, Poet Voices, Legacy Five, Ernie Haase + Signature Sound, Triumphant Quartet, The Hoppers, The Taylors, The Bibletones, Mark Lanier, The Ferguson Family, The Wisecarvers, The Troy Burns Family, The Roark's, and so many more!

Obviously you'll be able to use the time around the concerts to run around the park riding your favorite rides (roller coasters, anyone?!), check out some of the park entertainment, browse the shops, and of course grab a bite to eat at one of the many dining options available throughout the park.  Oh, let's not forget a stop at the Grist Mill for some of that delicious Cinnamon Bread!

The month long Harvest Festival is definitely a good excuse for all the SG fans to stick around a few days extra after NQC.  What's not to love with the combination of amusement park fun and Southern Gospel music?  Hey, I know someone who loves it so much they're staying in the area for the duration of the whole event!  So check out the schedule and then head on over to the Dollywood website to get your tickets now.  We're excited to say that we'll be there on September 30th (the day after NQC ends) to enjoy the Festival and share some of the fun on our social media!
