Steve Ladd "Come Up Clean" New EP Release!

Recently we received a package from Crossroads that, quite honestly, we had been very excitedly waiting for! We knew the envelope contained a new release from one of our family's favorite tenor singers, Steve Ladd. Come Up Clean is an EP with 6 new songs, and includes guest vocalist Jason Crabb on the title song. Release date is September 28 (only one week away!), but you can preorder a copy on Steve's website today!

The album starts off with The Thing About A Valley, which is probably my favorite song on the disc. It reminds us how even the valleys we go through have a purpose - they keep us looking up and waiting on the Lord. I love the thought here! We all go through trials and hard situations but through it all, if we remember to keep trusting in God, then each valley has served its purpose.

He Has Made A Way is a great song that draws from the account of Moses and the Israelites at the Red Sea to show how our Lord can make even an impossible situation turn out for His glory and our good!  Such a great reminder.

I Never Lost My Praise is another song that will "hit home" for a lot of folks. In our seasons of pain, we can still keep our hope and joy in the Lord and even praise Him in the middle of our darkest times.

Unshakable God is another reminder that no matter what we may be going through, our God is unmoving, always there. He is our courage when we have none, our rescuer, the one constant, unchanging relationship in our life.

Come Up Clean features guest vocalist Jason Crabb (no stranger to our readers, I'm sure) and describes an old-fashioned outdoor baptism at the river, and the joy believers feel when they "come up clean". I'd love to see/hear Steve and Jason do this one live!

The EP ends with Grave Clothes, a song that describes the change that happens when Christ comes in and saves a soul. We don't need the grave clothes anymore, we've been brought to life!

Steve delivers exactly what one would expect on this EP. Solid lyrics, great vocals, and songs that will encourage, uplift, and challenge believers in whatever circumstances they find themselves in.  It's quickly become a favorite in the family, and I'd encourage you to preorder your own copy at Steve's website! You can also follow Steve on Facebook to keep up with his tour schedule and ministry news.
