Fan Spotlight : Paula Andrews | Southern Gospel Gazette

Hey, y'all!  I know its been awhile but we are so excited to bring you all another fan spotlight.  This one is featuring an SG fan from Arkansas, Paula Andrews.  Let's get started, shall we?

************

Modesty: Tell us a little about yourself.
Paula: I live in South Arkansas, I have 2 kids and 3 awesome Grandkids, I've owned a small catering business for over 20 years, and I love Southern Gospel Music!!

Modesty: When and what got you started listening to SGM?
Paula: Growing up, we weren't allowed to watch TV before church, but we could watch Gospel Music Jubilee!☺ I enjoyed the music but never really "got into it" until I was grown and married. A friend of mine talked me into going to a concert that our church had, he said I would love it! I went! And I did!! That was in 1987, Gold City Quartet came on stage and I was hooked!!!!

Modesty: Do you remember what album/recording, concert, or group you heard first?
Paula: Gold City in September, 1987

Modesty: What are your top five favorite groups?
Paula: Gold City, LeFevre Qt, 11th Hour, The Hoppers, Wilburn And Wilburn

Modesty: What is one of your current favorite songs?
Paula: All My Hope is in Jesus...Gold City

Modesty: What SG song was last played on your iPod/CD player?
Paula: Heaven, Gold City

Modesty: How many SG groups have you seen in concert?  Have you kept a tally of how many concerts you’ve attended?
Paula: Oh my, I have no idea, probably most of them! Haven't kept a tally, but way up in the hundreds!!!!!

Modesty: Out of all the concerts/events you’ve attended, is there one in particular that sticks out to you as a favorite?
Paula: Yes...when Gold City had their first big Gadsden Homecoming, several years ago, it was the most blessed, worshipful event I had ever been to! Gold City, Tim Riley, LeFevre Qt, Jay Parrack and Vocal Event, Wilburn and Wilburn, Channing Eleton, Adam Borden, Dennis Swanburg, Bryan Elliott, Ivan Parker and Josh, Mark Trammell Quartet, hope I didn't forget anyone!! The spirit in that church was so special! I will never forget it!!

Modesty: Do you prefer to download the music, or own the physical CD's?
Paula: Physical CDs.

Modesty: Do you own any SG records/cassette tapes or do just digital downloads/cds?
Paula: Own the actual CDs etc.

Modesty: Do you sing or play any musical instruments?  If so, which part or instrument?
Paula: I took piano lessons for 10 years....they didn't take!!! As for singing...I make a "joyful noise"!!!!!

Modesty: What SG song do you turn on for a pick-me-up?
Paula: Sun's Gonna Come Up in the Morning...LQ

Modesty: What SG song do you turn on when you need to relax?
Paula: Same God....Gold City

Modesty: If you could choose one SG song as a life song, what would it be?
Paula: All My Hope is in Jesus... What more is there, than that??!!
